Waayaha Cusub



Waayaha Cusub (New Era) is a group of Somali refugees based in Nairobi, Kenya who are ready for change.


They are currently a local hit, providing East African "synth pop" with a mix of hip hop. The music brings commentary of the Somalian conflict, urging for reconciliation. Realizing the power of music, Waayaha Cusub make use of their tracks to bring awareness of social issues facing their community such as AIDS, clan rivalries and women's rights.
